Man crushed under wheels of coach in Valley Drive in Gravesend

A man has been badly hurt after his leg became trapped under the wheel of a coach in Gravesend.

He was taken to hospital with a serious leg injury after the incident with the Reliance vehicle in Valley Drive last night.

Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the scene, opposite the St Hilda's Way junction, at about 6.30pm.

The road was shut by police at the junction with Whitehill Lane.

A Kent Police spokesman said the man has been taken to King's College Hospital in London.
