Stephen Ives, of Gravesend, jailed for dealing crack cocaine, heroin and cannabis

A drug dealer's stash of class A drugs was found stuffed behind his sofa, a court heard.

Stephen Ives' home in Valley Drive, Gravesend, was raided by Kent Police in February and 106 packages of crack cocaine and heroin were discovered.

Text messages linked to dealing were discovered on the 30-year-old's phone and he was subsequently charged with possession with intent to supply.

Ives pleaded guilty to the offence and was last week jailed for two years and nine months.

Det Con Terry Hanlon, who led the investigation, said: "Ives was found in his property with drugs hidden and it was clear that he was operating with an intent to sell these drugs.

"I’m pleased he has been sentenced and that we’ve been able to remove another drug dealer off the streets and I hope that this sends a message to anyone thinking of becoming involved in this type of crime, ultimately it does not pay and we will find you and bring you to justice."
