Men charged after police stop car and find drugs in Gravesend

Two men have been charged after being arrested on suspicion of drug offences.

Police were on patrol in Windmill Street, Gravesend, when they say a vehicle came to their attention at around 3.40pm on Tuesday November 7.

Officers searched the occupants of the car along with inside the vehicle and a quantity of cash and cannabis was found, while further search at a house in Eltham found more money and cannabis.

Stefan Watson, 29, of Lilburne Gardens in Eltham, has been charged with possessing cocaine with intent to supply and possessing cannabis with intent to supply.

He was also charged with obstructing a constable in the execution of their powers and dangerous driving.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Thursday November 9 and subsequently remanded to appear at Greenwich Crown Court on Tuesday December 5.

Reo Watson, 24, also of Lilburne Gardens in Eltham, was also charged with possessing cocaine with intent to supply and possessing cannabis with intent to supply.

He has been bailed to attend Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday December 12.
A 28-year-old man who was also arrested has been released without charge.
