Fears that animal killer returned after cat found dead in Cutmore Road, Gravesend

A twisted animal killer has struck again.

A mutilated feline was found on Friday, July 6, in Cutmore Road, Gravesend, by a parent on the school run.

Boudicca Rising, 47, of the South Norwood Animal Rescue and Liberty (Snarl), said: “We attended at a vet in Gravesend after a member of the public notified us of a mutilated cat she had found.

“We have not been able to successfully identity her.

“We are also aware of an incident posted on social media about a potential victim in Chatham, also found yesterday.

“We are unable to confirm this one until we have heard back from police.”

Ms Rising admitted the mutilations are similar to those of cats previously killed by the infamous ‘UK animal killer’, formerly known as the Croydon cat killer.

She added: “The mutilations are a match to those we have seen on other victims of the UK animal killer.”

Police spokesman James Walker said: “We received a report that a cat was found deceased in Cutmore Road, Gravesend, at around 8.50am.

“The causes of the cat’s injuries are not known.”

Snarl advise any animal owners to report suspicious people around their property.

And if worried, keep their pets inside at night.
