A fire spokesman said: "Crews wearing breathing are tackling a fire on the second floor of a paper mill on Crete Hall Road in Northfleet. There have been no reports of any injuries."

It is not the first fire at the mill.

There has been a series of major blazes in the past few years, and several smaller emergencies.

The main plant had to be completely rebuilt after the original Kimberly-Clark plant was completely destroyed in July 2004.
