A firefighter has warned of the dangers of going into derelict buildings after a fire in Northfleet last night.

Crews were called to a derelict building at the bottom of Burch Road at around 9.15pm.

Watch manager Danny Turner said: "It's quite a dangerous building.

"The flooring is disintegrating, partly because of the small fire.

"We're warning people to stay away from derelict buildings like this. They are not safe."
