Crash in Betsham Road, Southfleet puts man in hospital with head injuries

A man has been taken to hospital after a car overturned in a village.

Four paramedic cars, one ambulance and an air ambulance was sent to Betsham Road in Southfleet after receiving reports of a one-vehicle crash at 6.35am.

A man, believed to be in his 40s, was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital as a priority patient after he suffered head injuries.

The casualty was fully conscious by the time he left the scene, but did have periods of reduced consciousness earlier.

Fire crews were also on hand to assist, but said they had little involvement with the incident.
