Teenager suffers head injuries after reports he was robbed and assaulted in Ordnance Road, Gravesend

Two men and three teenagers have been bailed after being arrested in connection with the robbery and assault of another teenager near a popular leisure centre.

The incident took place in Ordnance Road, Gravesend on Wednesday evening and the victim, thought to be 18 years old, was taken to Darent Valley Hospital with head injuries.

A 25-year-old man and an 18-year-old man must report to the police on September 26 and the three boys - aged 17, 17 and 16 - on August 12.

Ambulance crews were called to the scene, near Gravesend's popular promenade, at around 7.20pm on Wednesday and were later joined by police.

Paramedics assessed the victim at the scene and he was then taken to Darent Valley for further treatment.

A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance (SECAmb) said: "SECAmb was called shortly before 7.20pm to reports of an teenager with head injuries reportedly as a result of an assault.

"Ambulance crews in one car and one ambulance attended the scene and the boy/man was assessed and treated before being taken to Darent Valley Hospital for further treatment. The caller gave the patient’s age as 18 but this could be an estimate."

A police spokesman added that inquiries are ongoing.
