Jebb Green jailed for dealing heroin and cocaine in Gravesend

A handshake with a suspected drug user has landed a heroin and cocaine dealer in prison.

Jebb Green was found to be in possession of 40 wraps of Class As after police arrested him in Gravesend last month.

On April 14 a police officer became suspicious of a man pacing backwards and forwards in Rouge Lane and constantly looking at his phone.

Two minutes later the man met Green in Windmill Road where the pair shook hands — a technique often used for the covert exchange of drugs for money.

Back up was called and Green, of Gordon Road, Belvedere, was arrested.

Appearing at Woolwich Crown Court earlier this month the 27-year-old pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply and was sentenced to three years.

Detective Constable Daniel Bister, the investigating officer for this case, said: "Green was arrested following a very good piece of proactive policing work and I welcome the sentence he has received.

"I would encourage anyone with information on drug activity to report it to us on 101 so that we can take the necessary action."
