Two men suffered head injuries when they were assaulted in an early-morning attack outside a petrol station.

Police were called just before 1am on Saturday after the pair were kicked and punched by two other men.

It is believed the attack took place in Perry Street, Northfleet, near the Texaco petrol station.

The victims were taken to Darent Valley Hospital, in Darenth Wood Road, Dartford, and have since been released.

The suspects are thought to be about 17 and 22-years-old.

One of the men had short, light hair and was wearing a light checked shirt. The other man had dark hair and was wearing a dark jumper.

DC Kerry Thompson, from Kent Police, said: "We would like to talk to anyone that may have seen or have information about this incident as they could help with our enquiries.

"We are also keen to trace a young woman with dark hair who was seen in the area at the time as she may have information that could be useful to our investigation."

Anyone with information is asked to phone DC Thompson on 01474 366091 or 01622 690690.
