Motorcyclist injured and taken to a London hospital after his bike crashed into lamppost in Bean

A motorcyclist who crashed his machine into a lamppost in Bean was taken to hospital in London for treatment.

The crash happened after a crash on the B255 at Bean this morning at about 9.30am.

The crash, on Bean Lane, near Bluewater, saw paramedics and police attend the scene and the man is said suffered injuries which are said not to be life-threatening.

The road was closed between the McDonald’s restaurant and Bluewater for a short period.

A spokesman for police said: “Kent Police was called at 9.28am following a collision on the B255 in Bean.

A motorcyclist was reported to have collided with a lamppost.

“SECamb and officers attended the scene and the motorcyclist was taken by land ambulance to a London hospital.

“His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.”
