Pensioner suffers head injury in fall at Marks and Spencer in Gravesend

The air ambulance was called to help paramedics after a woman suffered head injuries in a fall in Marks and Spencer in Gravesend today.

South East Coast Ambulance Service were called shortly after 12.20pm to the New Road store.

They were called to reports a woman aged about 70 had suffered a fall and had an injury to her head.

Ambulance crews in a car and an ambulance attended the scene.

The air ambulance was also called to the incident.

The woman was assessed and treated at the scene before being taken to King's College Hospital, in London, by road.

The air ambulance clinical team travelled on board the ambulance to help treat the woman en route to hospital.
