Traffic has cleared after a car overturned on the A2 east-bound this evening.

Vehicles were said to be queuing earlier after the accident between the Northfleet turn-off and the junction for the A227 at the Tollgate Services.

All lanes have now been reopened after emergency services tried to clear the crash.

It's believed a stretch of barrier was damaged in the accident.

Fire, police and ambulance were all at the scene.
