All of the items except for the medals have been recovered. The medals all hold sentimental value to the owner.

One medal has been described as an Africa Star with a navy blue, red and light blue ribbon. The second was a 'The Defence Medal', with green, black and orange strips. The final medal was a general service medal with a lion emblazoned on it.

He appeared before Medway Magistrates on Tuesday, May 29 and is set to appear before Maidstone Crown Court on June 26.
