A man is said to have stolen £500 after claiming to have carried out some gardening work.

The incident happened in Old Road East, between 12.30pm and 1.15pm, on Tuesday, October 7.

The suspect is described as a man with a local accent, around 6ft tall and thought to be aged between 35 and 40, and of large build.

Officers have carried out house to house inquiries and are continuing to investigate the incident to identify a suspect.
