Accident in Old Road East at junction with Valley Drive, Gravesend, leaves one car on its side

A car ended up on its side after a crash this afternoon.

Emergency services were called at around 2pm to Old Road East, Gravesend, at the junction with Valley Drive.

A black Fiat was on its side.

An ambulance attended but it is not known if anyone was injured.

The Lion roundabout was closed for a short time but reopened a short while later. Diversions remained in place on Old Road East while the vehicle was recovered.

One man said: "I heard two bangs in half a second, one for the impact and the other for when it landed on its side."
