Milton Road was closed earlier after a car crash involving a car and van.
Firefighters were called to the scene at around 1.30pm to cut a woman and a male passenger from the car.
Paramedics were seen putting the woman, believed to be in her 80s, onto a stretcher.
She has been taken to hospital though her injuries are not thought to be serious.
Traffic was being diverted down Ordnance Road as emergency services deal with the incident.
A spokesman for Kent Fire & Rescue said: "We were called to a collision involving a van and a car.
"Firefighters stablised the vehicle, then used hydraulic rescue equipment to free the two casualties."
