Denver Whittington charged with Gravesend medal theft

A second man has been charged by officers investigating the theft of medals.

Denver Whittington was arrested on Monday morning by officers investigating the incident at a home in Park Road in Gravesend on Sunday, May 27.

Numerous items, including military medals, were stolen.

Today, the 32-year-old, of Hall Road, Northfleet, was charged with the burglary and a series of other offences.

These include theft of meat and beer from a shop in Perry Street, Gravesend, on Wednesday, May 23, and driving a motor vehicle without a licence.

He is also charged with using a motor vehicle without third party insurance and assaulting a constable in the execution of their duty.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court later today.

Chris Walker, 33 of no fixed address, has also been charged with the burglary.

He appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, May 29, and was remanded in custody to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Tuesday, June 26.
