Travellers have been spotted setting up camp near Gravesend's Cyclopark.

Caravans were reported on the eastern side of the sporting facility on land off the A2.

One dog walker said she was "astonished" when she came across the camp on a morning stroll.

It's believed the site has been reported to the authorities.

A Cyclopark spokeswoman said: "Cyclopark can confirm that an unauthorised encampment has taken place on the area located east of Cyclopark.

"Access to the site was gained during Saturday, May 23. Field owner, Kent County Council, is currently moving to take action over the encampment."
