Gravesham Trophy Centre up for business award

For the past 26 years, the Gravesham Trophy Centre in Singlewell Road has been the obvious choice to purchase that special event presentation trophy.

With a raft of engraving skills and a team of four, owner John Gaymer says he can create and produce any design required.

He said: “Whatever you can think of there is an award trophy for it, from tin can makers to talking to captains of a submarine.

“I have engraved the FA Man of the Match trophy which Wayne Rooney won. We also supply and engrave the awards for the Cake Masters competition which is always nice when they send us some of the winning cakes.”

Coming from an engineering background the team can photo-engrave into crystal and orders are shipped across the UK.

The company has a big online presence with a large selection of trophies, tumblers, badges and shields for any situation. There is also an in-depth profile on the history of glass-making.

Mr Gaymer concluded: “It's a very unusual business that I enjoy doing. We meet many people from all walks of life and around the world. We are a small, friendly, family business. We train onsite and last year took on our full-time apprentice, James.”
