Most wanted: Denver Whittington, of Northfleet, added after war medals theft

A man suspected of being involved in a burglary in which medals were stolen has been added to Kent Police's most wanted list.

Denver Whittington, 32, is being linked to the raid on a house in Park Road in which three Second World War medals, 20 pieces of crockery, a gold pen and hat were taken.

A burglar is believed to have gained access through the bathroom and Chris Walker, 33, of no fixed address, was subsequently charged.

All of the items except for the medals have been recovered. The medals all hold sentimental value to the owner.

One medal has been described as an Africa Star with a navy blue, red and light blue ribbon. The second was a 'The Defence Medal', with green, black and orange strips. The final medal was a general service medal with a lion emblazoned on it.

Whittington is known to have connections to the Northfleet area and previously lived in Hall Road.
