Drinkers looking for a country pub without the effort of leaving the town centre need look no further.

The 17th century Windmill Tavern, situated on Windmill Hill, boasts a huge award-winning garden at the back of the pub with access to parts of Windmill Gardens where a bowls green and tennis courts are available for hire.

Earlier this year the pub teamed up with Gravesend's Old Town Hall to stage the Gravesend Beer Festival, entitled Beer Affects, with more than 30 real ales and ciders on offer.
