Departing Ebbsfleet chairman Jessica McQueen insists footballing matters will be the immediate priority for the club’s new Kuwaiti owners.

KEH Sports Ltd (KSL) have committed to developing Stonebridge Road and they plan to buy a sports ground which will double up as the Fleet’s training base and a community hub.

But with the new Conference South season just three months away, Mrs McQueen turned the spotlight back to the playing field.

She said: “Right now, the most important thing is to get a good team on the pitch and a structure in place to start the season.

“The ground has an A Grade certificate and improvment will be something wonderful but right now, the most important thing is to get a team there and staffing all sorted out so the season can start in August.”
