Ebbsfleet United manager Liam Daish will cast his eye over two new trialists as he bids to strengthen his squad.

Fleet started their pre-season tour of the West Country on Thursday and face Bodmin Town tomorrow (Saturday).

Daish will be handing opportunities to an unnamed striker and midfielder.

He said: "A new striker is still top of my list. I'll be taking someone down to the West Country so I can have a look at them. They'll also be another midfielder. It's early but we need a few other signings."

Dartford head into their second pre-season test of the season when they face a Crystal Palace XI at Princes Park tonight (Friday).

The Darts opened their friendly fixture list on Tuesday with a 1-0 defeat against Championship side Charlton.

Assistant manager Paul Sawyer said: "We only started back training last week, so we're using these games to get players back on the pitch and gradually return to full fitness."

Maidstone United continue their pre-season away to Kent League VCD Athletic tomorrow.

On Tuesday, Kent League side Hythe Town entertain ambitious Ashford at Reachfields Stadium.

Hythe notched a fine win in last season's pre-season clash with Town so Ashford will be looking to turn the tables in a vital season for Town boss Steve Lovell.

Ramsgate start their pre-season campaign against Welling United at Southwood on Saturday.

Coach Steve Butler and reserve team boss Richard Langley are in charge of the side as manager Jim Ward and his assistant, brother Danny are both attending a family wedding.

Former Margate player Iain O' Connell, now boss of Southend village side Great Wakering Rovers, returns to Hartsdown Park for the noon kick off and Tommy Sampson's Redhill visit Whitstable (3pm). The game has been switched due to ground problems at the Surrey club.

Dover are at home to Dagenham.
