Brandon Hall is back in possession of the No.1 jersey at Ebbsfleet United after being recalled from his loan spell at Lewes to play against Bromley on Saturday.

Hall hadn't played since January 4, having lost his place to Preston Edwards after serving a one-match ban for the red card he was shown in the 5-1 defeat to Basingstoke on December 28.

Edwards started the Fleet's next 10 games and Hall, who joined Lewes to keep up his match sharpness, was due to stay with the Ryman League Premier Division club until March 14.

But he was recalled last Monday by Ebbsfleet manager Jamie Day, who restored him to the starting XI at Hayes Lane, with Edwards dropped to the bench.

Day said: "I had a chat with Preston. He’s done OK in the games that he’s played but he’s said himself that he’s made a couple of mistakes that he knows he probably shouldn’t have.

"I just felt that if it was on the other foot, Preston would be asking me to play and I felt Brandon deserved to come back in.

"I thought he started the game very well with a good punch and then he pulled off a good save, with the block towards the end.

"I’m pleased for him because you have to be patient as a keeper sometimes and he’s been that. I was happy with his performance."

Ebbsfleet won the game 2-1 thanks to goals from Adam Cunnington and Matt Godden.
