Ebbsfleet United sign Southend United striker Norman Wabo on loan

Ebbsfleet have signed Southend striker Norman Wabo on loan until the end of the season.

Wabo, 19, has scored 16 goals in 17 games for Southend's under-23 side and has made three appearances for the first team since signing his first professional deal last summer.

He will wear squad number 23 and could make his Fleet debut at Leyton Orient on Saturday.

Ebbsfleet boss Daryl McMahon said: "As I’ve maintained, we wanted the right player either permanently or on a loan deal until the end of the season and Norman is a bright prospect.

"We’ve looked at a lot of players who fit the bill and he now has the chance to show what he can do here at a good level."

Wabo, a quick player, had a loan spell at Cambridge City last season, scoring four times in five outings.
