Ebbsfleet United send former Dover Athletic defender Lloyd Harrington on loan to Grays Athletic

Ebbsfleet United defender Lloyd Harrington has been loaned to Grays Athletic for a month.

Harrington joined the Fleet from Dover Athletic at the end of July after featuring for Steve Brown's side on trial during pre-season. He was on the bench against Concord in midweek.

But he's still regaining his fitness after missing almost all of last season with a knee injury.

Brown said: "It can take three or four months to find your feet again. Lloyd openly admits he’s rusty but he has good potential.

"He has enough potential for us to invest two, three, or four months giving him the right programme to get him fit."

Harrington is the third member of Ebbsfleet's 23-man squad now out on loan.

Leo Mazzone came on for his Sittingbourne debut against Carshalton Athletic on Tuesday and fellow midfielder Jordan Sanderson, who's on loan at Lewes, made his first appearance for the Rooks against AFC Hornchurch on Wednesday night.

Grays and Harrington face Leatherhead in the Ryman League Premier Division on Saturday.
