Hartley returned to the top of the Shepherd Neame Kent Cricket League Premier Division after beating visiting Bromley by 32 runs on Saturday.

Opener Dan Stickels (56) and Nick Hendrie (55) made the major contributions as Hartley posted 230 all-out with Scott Barlow taking 3-25.

Bromley were all-out for 198 in reply with Scott Barlow top-scoring with 66.

Jack Laraman (3-43) and James Thompson (3-36) were the pick of the Hartley bowlers.

Beckenham dropped to second, and are now six points behind the leaders, after losing by 26 runs at defending champions Sevenoaks Vine.

Third-placed Vine were struggling at 80-7 before Lorne Burns (74) and Anthony Shales (45) staged a fightback which saw their side reach 211.

William MacVicar took 4-42 while Johan Malcolm finished with 3-45.

In reply, Kent batsman Alex Blake blasted 76 from 27 balls, including eight sixes and five fours, but it wasn’t enough as Beckenham were dismissed for 185.

Tom Parsons took an impressive 5-46 while Burns completed a fine day with 3-44.

Blackheath registered an 81-run win at Lordswood to stay fourth.

Jahid Ahmed made 43 as Blackheath posted 200 with Greg Smith taking 4-23 and Chris Piesley 3-35.

The hosts could only make 119 in reply with only Matt Greenwood (30) and Greg Smith (20) offering much resistance as Warren Lee took 3-21.

Bexley’s Sam Heazlett scored the only century of the day, a stunning 136, in the 131-run win at Sandwich Town.

George Wells also made 52 as Bexley made 289-7 from their 50 overs. Kent paceman Matt Hunn took 3-58 for Sandwich.

Sandwich were all-out for 158 in reply with captain Robert Goatham making 36 before he was dismissed by Kent spinner Adam Riley (1-20).

Jasdev Bassan (3-32) and Adeel Malik (3-45) shared the bowling honours for Bexley.
