Ebbsfleet striker Danny Kedwell could be sent for an X-ray later this week if his back injury shows no sign of improvement.

Kedwell came off during the Fleet's 2-2 draw at home to Hemel Hempstead at the end of last month after crashing into the perimeter wall.

The former Gillingham forward, who joined the Fleet in January, returned to training on Tuesday but boss Jamie Day does not expect him to feature this weekend.

"He did a light session but is still feeling his back," said Day. "If it doesn't show any signs of improvement by Thursday then we'll get it looked at.

"We thought that it was just bruising but it's been nearly three weeks. We need to make sure there's no bones damaged."

Kedwell, who has scored four goals in 10 games for the club, has missed the last two matches.
