Ebbsfleet United midfielder Matt Johnson loaned to Bishop's Stortford

Matt Johnson has rejoined Bishop's Stortford on loan from Ebbsfleet United.

The 25-year-old midfielder left the Hertfordshire club in 2014 and made 37 appearances for the Fleet last season but hasn't featured so far in 2015/16.

Johnson has found himself behind Jordan Parkes, John Paul Kissock, Dean Rance and Stuart Lewis in the queue for a place in Ebbsfleet's central midfield.

He's gone back to Stortford to maintain his match sharpness and could play five league games in Vanarama National League South over the next month.

Johnson is the third Ebbsfleet player to go out on loan in the last few weeks. Left-back Aiden Palmer is back at his old club Chelmsford while forward Alex Osborn is playing for Hayes & Yeading.

Fleet are at home to Whitehawk on Saturday.
