Tom Phipp has signed a new contract at Ebbsfleet United.

The midfielder is the fourth member of last season's Fleet squad to accept manager Steve Brown's offer of a new deal at Stonebridge Road.

Brown has also secured the signatures of goalkeeper Preston Edwards and defenders Paul Lorraine and Joe Howe.

In total, 20-year-old Phipp is the 10th player to sign for Ebbsfleet since Brown was announced as their new manager last Monday.

He said: "I am delighted to have sorted out a new contract with the club. There is a lot of excitement and publicity around Ebbsfleet United at present and I am really looking forward to pre-season and meeting the new squad and then playing my part in what we all hope will be a successful season."

Phipp spent five years in the Arsenal youth system and won the FA County Youth Cup with Kent in 2010.

He signed first-team forms at Ebbsfleet that summer and made a big impression as Liam Daish's side won promotion back to Conference Premier at the first attempt.

Phipp, the Fleet's longest-serving player, made 43 appearances last season and was used in several positions, including right-back.

He memorably spent one game in goal during the 2010-11 season when when Preston Edwards was sent-off after 10 seconds.
