Ebbsfleet midfielder Dean Rance can’t wait to get stuck in against his former club Dover in Saturday’s eagerly-anticipated derby.

Rance, who quit Dover to join the Fleet in June, was left on the bench when the Kent rivals clashed at Crabble in August.

However, the 22-year-old has since become a fixture in central midfield and should start in the return match at Stonebridge Road.

Rance said: “That was a bit disappointing.

"It’s hard enough to watch any game, never mind that one.

"I really want to do well because I didn’t get to play last time.

"They’ll admit themselves that we played well that night (despite losing 2-1).

"It will be a completely different game this time around. We’re looking stronger now and we all know our jobs, we know what each other are going to do."
