Fenton, 17, was joined on the team by Lucy Stanhope, Alice Kinsella, Kelly Simm and Taeja James.

Claudia Fragapane and Olympic bronze medallist Amy Tinkler had to pull out because of injuries but England's young team performed well in their absence.

Fenton said: "I was really pleased with how my bars routine went and it was amazing to be able to put out there on another international stage.

"It's very sad the injuries that occurred but it's really pulled us together as a team.

"I guess I know what to do in the final and just hope that I can do the routine again.

"I'm just so proud of all of the girls we really did our best out there and I'm so happy to stand on the podium with them."

The bars final takes place on Sunday morning.
