Car fire causes A2 closure
Comments |
A car fire on the A2 near Gravesend closed the
road for almost an hour.
Firefighters were called to the blaze on the coastbound hard
shoulder at the junction with the M2 at about 8.20pm on
Tuesday.
Thames-side sent one crew to put the red Vauxhall Astra
out, and while they worked the police employed a rolling road
block to keep traffic moving slowly.
No one was injured in the fire and the road was reopened by
9.15pm.
