19 charged following drug raids

Nineteen
people are due to appear in court today on drugs charges
following a series of dawn raids in Dartford and Gravesend.
The defendants were
arrested when Kent Police officers swooped on 26 homes in
north Kent and south east London.
Officers found five cannabis
plants, a small amount of cannabis resin, and tablets
thought to be amphetamine sulphate - or speed. They also
seized a large quantity of mobile phones, cash and a stolen
motorbike.
The men and women, most charged with
supplying controlled drugs, will appear before magistrates in
Medway via video link from North Kent Police station.
