Picture released by the
RSPCA
This was the sickening aftermath of
an attack where a pony was repeatedly stabbed and had its ear cut
off.
The RSPCA are
investigating after they were called to fields
off Valley Drive, Gravesend yesterday.
Inspectors immediately called a vet
to put the young Shetland pony to sleep because of the
severity of the injuries.
Photos taken at the scene by
the charity show the animal lying in a pool of blood.
RSCPA Inspector Alana Chapman said:
"We would like to know exactly what happened to this poor pony and
who is responsible.
"We are sure that someone will have
some information which can help us to bring a prosecution against
whoever did this and so we would like to hear from anyone with
information, in strict confidence."
