TMayoress Mauveen Kaur Dhesi who has confirmed she is pregnant, pictured with her husband, Cllr Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi, and Chris Bentley of London River Moorings who will manage the pontoonhe Mayor of Gravesham has confirmed his wife is expecting their second baby in August.

Cllr Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi and his mayoress, Mrs Manveen Kaur Dhesi, already have one child, a three year old son named Jugaad.

The pair were at the official opening yesterday of the Town Pier pontoon, a £2.3 million investment to attract ships and sailors to Gravesend.

Cllr Dhesi, who relinquishes the office next week, said: "It is obviously a great moment in one's life to be a father. It is a good time to have a second baby."
