Massive hay fire at Higham

Fire Engine Stock Picture A massive hay fire is being allowed to burn itself out at Higham.

Firefighters were called to Gore green Road about 1am this morning.

It is estimated 300 tonnes of hay was alight.

Crews from Strood and Thames-side fire stations ensured the fire did not spread.
