Transporter crash driver released from hospital
The driver of a car transporter which
overturned on the A2 at Pepper Hill, Northfleet, has been released
The man, who is in his 30s and from
Ramsgate, suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries during
the accident which saw at least six vehicles, believed to be
Hyundais, coming off the lorry and strewn across both London and
The truck driver was taken to a
hospital in London, while a second motorist suffered minor injuries
but was released from Darent Valley Hospital the same day.
Police are still appealing for
witnesses to the smash, which led to long delays and queues of
traffic stretching back several miles in both directions.
PC Paul Soesan of the Roads Policing
Unit thanked those who have already contacted them following the
accident on January 15.
He said: "We have spoken to a number
of witnesses who have supplied information, but there might be
other people who could help with our investigation."
