Snow showers
North Kent awoke to snow showers this morning,
causing delays for commuters.
The A2 London-bound was slow from the Cobham turn-off at around
8am but passable. Other roads were clear despite short
flurries.
The Met Office forecast for the rest of the day is
snow at times across southern areas of England, with a risk of
more prolonged and perhaps heavy snow across Kent and East Sussex
later. Gales may develop along the coast and the maximum
temperature is 2C.
There's a further chance of light spells of snow tonight with
temperatures down to -3C.
Tomorrow is expected to be cloudy with outbreaks of light
snow at first but then dry and and sunny. Maximum temperature
4C.
- Emergency services were called to Crooked Lane, Gravesend, at
around 8.30am today after a woman collapsed. A passer-by saw her
fall to the floor and an ambulance was called.
