Dog walker rescued after breaking leg at Gravesend near seawall between Denton and Shornemead
A lifeboat crew today helped a man who had broken his leg while walking his dog at Gravesend.
Crews were called to the seawall between Denton and Shornemead at just after 8.30am.
An ambulance paramedic, who had walked nearly a mile along the seawall to reach the casualty, had requested the lifeboat as the easiest way of recovering him.

Two crewmen reached the shore and the man was placed in the lifeboat's basket stretcher.
He was then brought aboard the lifeboat, along with his dog.
The lifeboat landed and was greeted by a waiting ambulance crew at the Royal Terrace Pier, Gravesend.
