International boxing will return to
Bluewater in January.
The Glow venue staged boxing for the
first time back in October as James DeGale successfully defended
his European super middleweight title.
And promoter Mick Hennessy will return
with DeGale and his other top boxers for another night of
professional bouts on Saturday, January 26.
DeGale – who on Saturday beat Fulgencio
Zuniga to claim the prestigious vacant WBC Silver super
middleweight title – will be aiming to defend his European crown
once more, this time against Italian-based fighter Mouhamed Ali
Ndiaye.
It will be one more step to an eventual
shot at the world title. DeGale said: “Next year I want to be
fighting for a world title and this time next year I want to be
world champion.”
Chris Eubank Jnr is again expected on
the bill, which is currently being put together and already
includes Kent’s unbeaten lightweight boxer Adam
Dingsdale.
Dingsdale has won all six of his professional fights, with
his latest victory coming at the Brentwood Centre on Saturday
night, where he beat Ideh Ockuko on points.
