Matt Godden came off the bench to score a debut winner as
Ebbsfleet stormed back from two goals down to beat fellow Blue
Square Bet Premier strugglers Hyde 3-2.
Striker Godden, signed on loan from League 1 Scunthorpe, settled
Saturday's match at Stonebridge Road by firing home 11 minutes from
time after Ashley Carew's shot came back off keeper Christopher
Dilo.
Fleet had looked in all sorts of trouble after Ryan Crowther and
Matt Blinkhorn put Hyde two up inside 10 minutes.
Neil Barrett gave the hosts hope by finishing a Carew cross 10
minutes before the break and they levelled on 72 minutes when Lanre
Azzez's centre was met by Nathan Elder.
Godden had been on the pitch for only 15 minutes when when he
scored the winner to leave Fleet two points adrift of safety.
