Manager Liam Daish talks up chances of more points as Ebbsfleet hit good run of form at the right time

by Steve Tervet
Home form has breathed new life into Ebbsfleet’s survival
bid and the side are now braced for their toughest run of fixtures
all season.
The Fleet’s next three games are away to Grimsby, Kidderminster
and Wrexham – the top three sides in Blue Square Bet Premier.
Manager Liam Daish, pictured, has seen his players
rediscover their confidence in recent weeks and he believes they
could spring a surprise or two on the road.
He said: "We’ve got some difficult games coming up, all away
from home, but we go into those games knowing we’re not in a bad
run of form.
"We’ll go to places where there’s pressure on other clubs, a
different kind of pressure. Supporters and directors of these clubs
will probably look at us and think ‘that’s three points in the bag
against Ebbsfleet’ but we might have something to say about
that."
Tuesday’s 1-0 win over Hereford lifted Daish’s side off the foot
of the table. It was a crucial victory on a night when fellow
strugglers Barrow and Nuneaton also won.
Daish said: "We’ve got seven points out of nine at home and
we’ve been unbeaten. There’s a bit of form there which we want to
keep going."
Without a game this weekend, the Fleet boss has a chance to
scout Tuesday night’s opposition when Grimsby visit Dartford in the
FA Trophy on Saturday.
