Appeal after girl hit by car in Fleetwood Avenue, Herne Bay

Police want to speak to anyone who saw a girl being knocked down by a car in Herne Bay.

The 14-year-old was hit by a grey Volkswagen Passat in Fleetwood Avenue shortly before 6.40pm on Saturday, leaving her with severe head and arm injuries.

She was taken to hospital in a serious condition, but her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Two ambulances and four patrol cars were called to the incident.

Any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police are asked to call the appeal line on 01843 222289 quoting reference 21-1132.
