Herne Bay: Police arrest man after crash in Margate Road

A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent after a pedestrian was left seriously injured following a crash in Herne Bay.

Officers were called to the collision at just before 5pm on Margate Road last Wednesday.

The pedestrian, who was also in his 20s, was airlifted to a London hospital with serious leg injuries following the incident.

Detectives investigating the crash arrested a 26-year-old from the Herne Bay area on Friday on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

He has been bailed while inquiries continue.
