Two people taken to hospital in London following a crash on Canterbury Road in Herne village

Two men remain in hospital following a crash in Herne.

Emergency crews, including the air ambulance, were called at 5.47pm on Saturday following a collision involving a car and a van on the A291 Canterbury Road.

Paramedics treated two casualties at the scene before they were taken to a London hospital by road ambulance.

The men are said to be suffering from non life-threatening injuries.

The road was closed in both directions at Curtis Wood Road until 1.30am for investigation work to take place.

Bus services were also affected with Stagecoach reporting they were unable to call at stops in the area.
