Herne Bay mum Jean Roberts launches search for missing chihuahua

A mum-of-five has launched a desperate search to find her beloved pet dog.

Jean Roberts, of Talmead Road, says her family has been left devastated since two-year-old chihuahua Blu went missing on Saturday, April 3.

The 31-year-old thinks the pet was stolen from her back garden, as he did not return after being let out.

Miss Roberts said: “If he wasn’t stolen and someone found him, they would have been in contact – I think he was taken.

“I am going to keep trying until someone tells me otherwise. My daughter has been sobbing her heart out – we want to know he is OK.”

Miss Roberts has launched an appeal on Facebook to help find Blu.

She added: “People have seen my post on Facebook, but I haven’t had any phone calls yet. Lots of people have been involved with the search for him – I have had my kids out looking for him.

“My friend Tina has been amazing and we have been trying to get Blu’s disappearance out there as much as we can.”

Miss Roberts added that the chihuahua is full of character.

She said: “He likes to be petted. He actually looks like a little puppy, but he’s two years old.

“He is lovely – he’s smaller than a cat and is actually scared of my next door neighbour’s rabbit.”

To help with the appeal, search for BRING BLU HOME on Facebook. If you have any information call Jean on 07498 564505 or the newsdesk on 01227 475915.
