Firefighters tackle chimney fire in North Stream, Marshside near Herne Bay

Crews were called to a chimney fire caused by a build up of twigs and branches near Herne Bay.

They arrived at the scene in North Stream, Marshside just after 8pm last night, eventually gaining access to the blaze in the double chimney by removing brickwork and plaster.

Firefighters then advised the home owner to contact chimney sweep in the morning and left the property just after 10pm.
