A police helicopter was launched as officers shut the Thanet Way over concerns for a woman seen on a bridge.
Emergency crews closed the A299 near Herne Bay as a precaution last night.
They were called just after 10pm but safely found the woman.
She was then passed to the care of medical professionals.
